Philip A Cole, MD, FACS,FASCRS
Dr. Cole is a life-long native of North Louisiana, a graduate from LSU Medical School in New Orleans. He completed his Surgery Residency at LSU-Shreveport and Colon & Rectal Fellowship at LSU-Shreveport/Schumpert program.   Dr. Cole was the third fellow to graduate from our program and he also has a Masters degree in health care management from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Cole is currently the Professor of Clinical Surgery & Division Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery at LSU-Shreveport and is board certified by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, as well as, Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Membership titles held with Fellow of American College of Surgeons and Fellow of The American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons. Since 2011, Dr. Cole has served as the General Surgery Program Director at LSU-Shreveport.
 
W. Reid Grimes, MD, FACS,FASCRS
 
Dr. Grimes is a George native, a graduate from Berry College and The Medical College of Georgia. He completed his General Surgery Residency as well as Colon & Rectal Residency at LSU-Shreveport/Schumpert program. Dr. Grimes served on active duty in The United States Air Force prior to returning to full time practice with the Colon & Rectal Associates in 1990. Dr. Grimes is board certified by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, as well as, Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Membership held with Fellow of American College of Surgeons and Fellow of The American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons. 
 
 
Michael D Stratton, MD, FACS, FASCRS
 
Dr. Stratton is an Indiana native, a graduate from Indiana University and The Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery & Colon and Rectal Residency at St. Louis University. Dr. Stratton joined Colon & Rectal Associates in 1998. As the current program director, Dr. Stratton serves as the faculty advisor to the colon and rectal surgery fellows. Dr. Stratton is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at LSU-Shreveport and is board certified by The American Board of Surgery and American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, as well as, Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Membership titles held with Fellow of American College of Surgeons and Fellow of The American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons.
 
 
Andrew M Werner, MD, FACS, FASCRS
 
Dr. Werner is a Shreveport native, a graduate from Duke University and LSU Medical School in New Orleans. He completed his General Surgery Residency in Macon, Georgia at the Medical Center of Central Georgia/Mercer University and his Colon & Rectal Fellowship at Baylor University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Werner also completed an additional Fellowship in Coloproctocology as a Specialist Registrar at St. Mark’s Hospital in London, England. In 2003, Dr. Werner returned to full time practice with the Colon & Rectal Associates. Dr. Werner is board certified by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, as well as, Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners. Membership held with Fellow of American College of Surgeons and Fellow of The American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons.
